About Us

Built to Own the Sector's Financial Architecture

Who We Are

1NatCap, LLC is an integrated principal-investment and merchant platform for natural capital. We aggregate the commercial value chain of a fragmented sector under one financially disciplined owner.

1NatCap is was built to solve a structural problem: environmental markets have capital and projects but lack a disciplined institutional owner in the middle. That owner needs to originate, invest, structure, own, monetize, and informationally organize. 1NatCap does all six under one roof.

Everything we build is engineered from day one to pass public-company and bank-level diligence.

Our Origin

1NatCap emerged from Entoro Capital's decade of work in the environmental sector. The thesis is the accumulation of what an investment bank saw and could not solve without an integrated commercial owner.

Over the last decade, Entoro has structured, placed, and advised on a broad range of environmental transactions. Across that period the same pattern repeated: institutional capital had appetite, projects had merit, but the sector lacked the structural rigor that other asset classes take for granted. Voluntary carbon markets never developed institutional plumbing. Sustainability and ESG became marketing categories before they became disciplines. Sovereigns wanted to monetize outcomes without a counterparty capable of transacting at institutional quality.

1NatCap is the operating expression of that decade of pattern recognition. It carries forward Entoro's regulated capital formation capability, integrates it with principal investment, merchant activity, and market infrastructure.

The Natural Capital Institute

The Natural Capital Institute (NCI) is our market standards and sentiment body. It is where the sector's discipline is shaped in public view.

NCI is modeled on the way ICMA and ISDA shaped their asset classes. Both were founded by market participants and both are governed at arm's length. Both endure because their credibility survives even when the rules constrain their founders. NCI is designed the same way.

NCI does not endorse or approve 1NatCap products. It is a rules body and a sentiment forum, not a product committee. Its work centers on:

●
Standards: Advancing market-level definitions of quality, additionality, and admissibility for natural capital assets across the four operating verticals.
●
Sentiment: Publishing sentiment surveys, market briefings, and comment letters to regulators and standard-setting bodies.

MembershipNCI membership is free and open to any market participant who shares the discipline. If you believe natural capital deserves the same rigor as other capital markets asset classes, we invite you to join. Membership is open to financiers, project developers, standards professionals, sovereign representatives, verifiers, insurers, academics, and other qualified market participants.
